I first met Donna Miceli over 10 years ago while working at Petsmart in my teens. At the time I had bought a 10 month old blue Heeler mix from a rescue. I had been told that he had “issues”, little did I know that these issues were the kind that made the original shelter he came from to suggest that the dog be euthanized as he was aggressive towards other dogs.
When I found this out I made the decision to take him for some obedience training at Petsmart since I worked there and so began my friendship with Donna. Though she was not supposed to have an aggressive dog in class she accepted him on the condition that I did what she said whether I liked it or not, as this was his chance at life I agreed. Under Donna’s careful hand the “worthless” shelter dog turned into a class A citizen earning his CGC, being allowed to run free at dog parks with all the other kinds of dogs and turned out to be the best dog I had. Without Donna’s help he would have been put down and we would have missed out on a great dog.
In later years Donna has helped me with other dogs and has also helped me with my 2 horses, she is quite knowledgeable about pets and has a knack for conveying things to people. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking dog or horse training.
